ABOUT SAMMIE

Sammie originally started performing in Pantomimes and at local Kareoke's before joining a "Pop Choir" in Salisbury where she performed to audiences in excess of 3000 people and sang live on Spire FM. From there Sammie teamed up with four other members of the choir and formed a group, gigging in and around the Salisbury area, after a year Sammie left the group and for the past four years has been gigging on her own under the name Donna-Marie until recently when it was changed to Sammie.

In August 2005 Sammie sang at the Great Dorset Steam Fair at Tarrant Hinton, where she was originally booked for two shows and was asked to do a further two as her act was a real hit. (See testimonials). Sammie was asked to return to the Steam Fair in August 2007 to perform again in the Main Arena, she was the fattest person there, being 8 months pregnant! But again her act was a huge hit.

Since Sammie started gigging on her own she has been involved in various concerts and local events to raise money for Charity. From singing in a quiet cul-de-sac in Weymouth to singing in the middle of a field, Sammie is always happy to give her time for a good cause. To date she has actively helped to raise nearly £10,000 for various Charities including Cancer and Lupus Disease, if you check out the charity link the details for 'Lupus Fest' 2010 are included.
